Taking Pingping And The Orphanage Director Out To Eat!
We had such a group we had to put 2 tables together. We had sushi fish green beans , not our greenbeans.. the ones in chinese restaurants the GOOD ones. we had Sweet and sour chicken, kung pow chicken, and some lemon water.. it tasted like the lemon scented furniture cleaning stuff smells. It was a good time though!! I bet I gained like 3 pounds! lol
Well, just to let all of you who have been following know, visiting an orphanage is a very humbling experience, you may think you are doing pretty bad, but just know there are always people who arent as fortunate as we are. Meeting the kids was a very cool thing, i am not allowed to post pictures of the children Because, not knowing which children have adoptive parents and which do not, i would not like to violate their rights. The children were nice and wanted to play, i played soccer, basketball, did magic tricks, and just sat around with some of them and tried to talk. truthfully i do not see how anyone could not be moved by something like this.. the feelings I got when I looked at some of those children was just overwhelming, i had to keep reminding myself there are people way worse off, who dont have a roof over their head and who do not get food every day and dont have toys to play with, and do not have people to take care of them like these children do. In conclusion i do believe this trip to china has changed me greatly to actually see how some people live in the world instead of just hearing about it, it makes such a greater impact to experience that.
Saying One Last Goodbye
Pingping saying goodbye to his caretaker, She was extremely sad as was ping.. but he did not show it. We had to tell him it is ok for boys to cry, that daddy even cries sometimes. He is extremely tough and one of the bravest little boys I have ever seen. Pingping had recently gotten a necklace from his caretaker and had lost it, she ran back and got him one more and would not let us leave without him having something to remember her by.
